Kurdistan is not a recognised country. It is an amalgamation of 5 countries. Each of the countries has treated its kurdish population very harshly. There are many lost souls.

The Kurdish people want independence, but are not granted this simple right.

The skull shown symbolised all the live lost as a result of the oppression those neighbouring countries.

The lack of colour shows the little life left within the region.

The region completely covered with skulls because the whole region has been subjected to killing and execution, also it shows the smell of death.

the skulls are not completely apparent after seeing it immediately, but once recognised, it induces a shock-effect, reminiscent of a horror movie.
